This award was ceased in 1993 as part of the review of the honours syetm and replaced by the Military Cross

the Air Force Cross recognised outstanding achievement and gallantry during peacetime flying duties
Issued for 180 days aggregate service in clearance operations in the UK and NI between 9th May 1945 and 31st December 1949
